STEVE KINSELLA
A little about me so I am not a complete stranger to you.
I was born the 10th of 12 children. Raised in the Midwest.
We 12 were all musically talented kids.
My childhood was filled with joy from our musical gatherings.
Singing around the piano with my family is still one of my favorite musical experiences. Three of my siblings played piano and three brothers were also great guitar players and entertainers.
Family get-togethers were always, and still are, filled with song.
Through twists and turns as liquid as a musical melody, I have had a rich and varied career.
I began with my first big role at age 12 in a high school production of MAME.
Through the years I wove my way through various musical and theatrical experiences.
I spent 6 +years as the lead singer in a Midwest rock band. Then moved to the West Coast where I shifted to Opera of all things, then to pop and musical theater where I have spent the last 30 years first as a performer. Then, as a conductor, Producer, director, with over 70 shows to my credit.
I even did a brief 2 year stint teaching elementary music. A truly wonderful job.
Then the brakes came on…
